Last UFO completed

It has only taken three and a half years and now my last UFO is complete. This poor top and backing has been shunted backwards as more exciting quilts came along. The quilt has seen a Dear Jane, a Cathedral window and a granny's garden get finished and used before getting a look in again. It was fun to do the quilting and only took me 33 days to quilt and bind it.

The honest reason for doing it now is that I am in a quandary as which quilt to do next. I have a farmers wife book purchased, but then there are the taupe Japanese quilts. The Taupe may be a reaction to the brightness of the Stars quilt. I really need to decide.
In the mean time I am going to practice Applique. I did a few blocks for my Dear Jane, but apart from that I did some applique where I used my sewing machine to satin stitch the edges. Not quite controlled stitching. Sew after this I will start on a Sunbonnet Sue little picture. Hopefully it will be worthy of a share, if not, oh well.

Hope you all have a marvelous weekend and have a fun project to keep your fingers entertained.

Have a good one.

  1. Oooohhhh I have my fabric for the Farmers wife quilt ready. Maybe we could sew along together. It has been sitting on the shelf for a few years...
